Scent plays three important roles in attracting fish and can be used with the MagnaBait:

a. It’s a powerful motivation to fish downcurrent that causes them to investigate a probable source of food.

b. The fish attracted by the MagnaBait’s combined sound and light are even more assured that it is a possible food source rather than a predator that will eat them.

c.  As fish gather near the source of the scent, their appetites are stimulated and they often find themselves in a competitive situation or maybe even a feeding frenzy. This causes them to reduce their fear of predators and concentrate on attacking any food, such as your bait, before other fish get it first. Since the MagnaBait provides little actual food or none at all, fish are more likely to notice of your bait or lure and attack it. The time interval between the signals given off by the MagnaBait gives the fish’s brain time to notice your bait, focus on it, then attack.  Just smear some live bait or some commercial attraction scent on the surface of the MagnaBait and into the scent holes (See instructions for using scent!).
